The Story

A Towel with a Story

Each Fouta is hand-woven on a traditional wooden loom by women artisans from the coastal town of Mahdia, Tunisia. The process takes approximately 6 hours per piece, using organic cotton thread dyed with natural indigo and henna.

The Fouta (also called Peshtemal) is a versatile textile — use it as a beach towel, a lightweight blanket, a sarong, or a table runner. Unlike industrial towels, it gets softer with every wash and dries in minutes.

Why This Matters

By purchasing at cost and gifting Dana, you directly support a cooperative of 12 women artisans who preserve a craft that has been practiced for centuries. Your Dana is split transparently: 30% to the designer, 30% to the artisans, 30% through the affiliation network, and 10% sustains the platform.
